IEREGS - Industrial electronics in renewable energy generation systems

This subject aims to integrate knowledge of subjects such as power electronics, electrical machines, power generation systems, transmission lines and control subjects to understand the operation of power electronic circuits used in renewable energy generation systems. In addition to these topico of power electronics, the objective also to gain some knowledge of instrumentation and telemetry subsystems, as well as EMI compatibility strategies used in these systems.

CMRGS - Control and monitoring of renewable generation systems

This subject deals with the understanding and ability to design the different control methods applied to the various power systems developed during the master's degree, as well as the communication systems used in power systems: smart grids and field buses in electric traction systems.

DGSPQ - Distributed Generation Systems and Power Quality

In this course, a study of the different renewable and special regime generation systems will be carried out. The analysis of this type of technologies will be carried out from the technical, economic and regulatory point of view.

ASPES - Analisys, modeling and simulation of electric power systems

The objective of this course is the exercise of the ability to study, both analytically and numerically, electrical power systems, as well as the use of simulation software for the validation of analytical models.

LAB - Laboratory

The aim of thos subject is to integrate the knowledge of the subjects studied during the first year of the master's degree. To this end, different projects of medium-high complexity will be developed to incorporate the theoretical bases relating to the design of power converters, their control and integration with supervision systems into a real prototype. All stages of the design will have to take into account the economic aspects of the design. Likewise, special importance will be given to the handling of the laboratory equipment, being vital to handle it with the appropriate safety measures.
